The Sydney Cricket Ground is a sports stadium in Sydney, Australia. It is used for Test, One Day International and Twenty20 cricket, as well as Australian rules football, rugby league football, rugby union, and association football.
The New Zealand T20 World Cup team represents New Zealand in international men's cricket. Nicknamed the "Black Caps", they played their first Test in 1930 against England in Christchurch, becoming the fifth nation to play Test cricket. From 1930, New Zealand had to wait until 1956, more than 26 years, for their first Test victory over the West Indies at Eden Park in Auckland. They played their first ODI in the 1972–73 season against Pakistan in Christchurch. New Zealand is the first WTC champion which they won in 2021 and also won the ICC CT in 2000. They played in the CWC final twice and the T20 World Cup final once.
The T20 World Cup 2024 tournament is set to begin on June 1 and will be hosted in the United States for the first time along with the West Indies.
